WPS Office 2007 provides the ability to export documents to PDF format. Under normal circumstances, other than reading the PDF file, you can also copy or print the content to propagate. What if your document only allows others to read and not copy or print the text? In fact, this protection is already available in WPS Text 2007, which allows us to set the corresponding protection for the contents of the document when outputting the document in PDF format.
First we can click the menu command "tools → options" to open the "Options" dialog box. Click on the "Output pdf" tab, in the Permission settings project, deselect the Allow changes, allow replication, allow annotation options, and select Do not allow printing in the Print Permissions Drop-down list, as shown in Figure 1 below.

This setting does not mean that the contents of the document are automatically protected in the output PDF format, and we also need to set a password for the output document to specify permissions. Click the menu command "file → output to PDF format", in the open Output Adobe PDF file dialog box, click the Advanced button below to expand the expansion bar of this dialog box, select the Permission settings option in the permission Settings item area, and then change the contents below to become available. Enter the password in the Password entry box and confirm it, as shown in Figure 2. The text content in the PDF file we output is not allowed to be changed, copied, or printed.

It should be noted that the password is added here to set protection permissions. After the password is added, you can protect the content from being copied or printed by everyone. It is not necessary to enter a password to distinguish permissions when printing, as shown in Figure 3.

We can also set the password at the bottom of "File Open password" to open the password of the PDF file, hehe, this is more safe.
