Method/Step

    Using RAR to open the Ubuntu-14.04-desktop-amd64.iso file, locate the Wubi.exe file and unzip it to the Ubuntu-14.04-desktop-amd64.iso's sibling location.

    Be careful not to unzip other files.

    Double-click the Wubi.exe file, pop Up the dialog box, and change the relevant settings as shown in the picture

    Note: It is best not to install to the C drive, and enter the user name and password of the new Ubuntu system, not the username and password of the current login system.

    The Wubi tool then processes the file Ubuntu-14.04-desktop-amd64.iso of the sibling location.

    After processing, you will be prompted to restart the system immediately. Here is an immediate restart.

    After the system restarts, it automatically enters the installation process, does not need to set up, waits for the system installation to complete.

    After the system is installed, it is expected that after the computer restarts, it will be able to enter the Ubuntu system normally.

    However, there may be a problem: A fatal error occurred while checking the disk

    1. When you go to the Ubuntu boot menu, you can enter startup item editing mode by pressing the e key on your keyboard when the cursor is *ubuntu .

      Use the cursor to navigate to the location as shown, the ro is changed to RW , press F10 key, you can follow the modified parameters to boot into the system.

        1. When you go to the Ubuntu boot menu, when the cursor is selected *ubuntu, press the E key on your keyboard to enter the startup item editing mode:

        2. Using the cursor to navigate to the location as shown, the RO is changed to RW, press the F10 key, you can follow the modified parameters to boot into the system:

      To modify the startup item configuration file
        1. Click the top left button, then enter terminal, then click Enter Terminal program or input in English mode (ter):

        2. Enter sudo gedit/etc/grub.d/10_lupin after carriage return:

        3. Enter the user password and return to the text editor to open the startup item configuration file:

        4. Click Search to find:

        5. After you enter the RO ${args}, the text editor automatically searches for and navigates to the text item:

        6. Change RO to RW:

        7. Click File, save, save current changes:

        8. Click File, exit, exit the text editor:

      Update the Startup item configuration
        1. Enter the terminal program again, then enter sudo update-grub after the carriage return:

        2. Enter the user password and return to:

        3. Wait patiently for the system update startup item to complete. Wait until the prompt is done, indicating that the update is over and back to the command state. To close the terminal program:

        4. Restart the Ubuntu system to discover that the system is ready to start automatically:
