A recent X3650 old server for testing broke a hard drive, the hard drive is on the RAID1 group, the hard drive model is SAS 15K 73GB. Because it is an old machine, replace the bad hard drive with a piece of the same type that was removed from the other machine. The process of replacing the hard drive is smooth, and the hard drive self-test is fine. But the replaced hard drive does not automatically rebuild the raid information from ServeRAID Manger to see that the replacement hard drive status is ready. Since the old hard drive that is being dismantled still retains the previous data, it is necessary to clear the data reserved above. In Serverraid Mangerk, select "Clear" on the hard drive's right-click menu to clear the data, and after the data cleanup is complete, the hard disk automatically finishes RAID rebuild and data synchronization.
It is now common to replace a bad hard drive with a new hard drive, so it is rare to have data not automatically synchronized. But for some old machines there is no new hard drive to swap, big old hard drive replacement time clears the above data.
