Step 1: Open the game streaming function in Xbox One
Open settings in the Xbox, select Preferences, tick "allow game streaming to other devices", and then choose one of the first two options in the SmartGlass connection settings.
Step 2: Open the Xbox application in surface
After you open the Xbox app, log in to your Xbox Live account and select "Connect" in the left panel, and the Xbox app will scan the available Xbox One host device from your home network and select the device you want to connect to later.
Once connected, you will see the streaming, remote control and other options.
Step 3: Connect the Xbox One handle to the surface
You have two options:
• Using a wired handle, plug the USB plug into the surface;
• Using the wireless handle, you need an Xbox USB wireless adapter for the WIN10 PC that supports 8 handles, four headphones, and two stereo headphones.
Before streaming, plug the headset into the Xbox One handle or plug the USB headset into the surface. Make sure your headset is the default sound playback device and recording device that you can set in the Control Panel.
Step 4: Start playing the game
Once the Xbox One is connected to the surface, clicking on the streaming option in the Xbox a host in the app will enable the game to flow, and your surface device displays the footage from the Xbox. At this point you need to use the handle to control the contents of the screen, as in the Xbox One.
