Xournal, PDF annotation editing software in Linux
Once a PDF file is generated, it is more difficult to edit it. However, some software has implemented this function to some extent. The most common modification to PDF love papers is to add comments to them. In Linux, Xournal and Okular can both implement this function, but note that the former can save the modified results into a new PDF, while the latter can only store the modified and PDF files separately.
Xournal is a notes recording software similar to Windows Journal and Jarnal in Windows. It is free of charge and can be applied to Linux environments.
Xournal can also be used to add an Annotation (Annotation) to a PDF file and save the Modification result as a PDF document. This function is quite useful if you are using a tablet that is easy to write.
Because it does not rely on Java, Xournal can be conveniently used on Tablet PC and devices without Java environment (such as Nokia N800.
Install: the software is available in the software center, or directly enter the following command.
Sudo apt-get install xournal
PDF Editor (package name: pdfedit) is a real PDF editing software that provides the function of directly editing PDF files. It is also a free open source software.
PDF Editor can add images and strikethrough tags to existing PDF files, or modify the text in PDF files. However, there are many restrictions and limited support for Chinese characters. Many of the features of this software are exciting, but the stability is limited. There may be a long way to go to the practical level.
