XP System Task Manager is gray and can't open what to do

Method One:

1, point start, run, input regedit, point OK.

2, enter the registry editing interface, find Hkey_current_usersoftwaremicrosoftwindowscurrentversionpoliciessystem, In the right pane, create a new DWORD value named DisableTaskMgr, set its value to 0, and if isabletaskmgr already exists, direct the word value to 0, and then click OK to remove the disabled Task Manager.

Method Two:

1. Start, run, input gpedit.msc, enter, open Group Policy

2. Then open User Configuration-Admin template-System, select Ctrl-alt-del option, double-click to open "Delete Task Manager" and change "disabled" to Not configured.
