Method One

Right-click My Computer and choose Properties.

In the System Properties window that pops up, look at system under the General tab, and if your computer is 64-bit, it's clearly labeled "x64," and if not, your computer is 32-bit.

Method Two

Click "Start"-"Run".

In the box after open, enter "Winmsd.exe".

In the System Information window that pops up, locate the "Processor" column under "items" on the right, followed by the "x86" indicating that the computer is 32 digits, and that the computer is 64 if it starts with "ia64".
