The emergence of ghost brings us great convenience. In addition to backing up and recovering the system, it also has many convenient and practical applications. However, in the face of full screen English operations, it is indeed a little uneasy, a slight carelessness will cause irreparable losses! Use ghostgo to convert the English ghost operation in DOS to a Windows Chinese environment. Detailed settings of each task to be executed: Backup System, recovery system, copy hard disk, copy partition, and so on. The task settings are also extremely simple. All you need to do is just a few mouse clicks. Ghostgo supports fat16, FAT32, and NTFS partitions, and supports multiple hard drive systems. The new automatic setting function can automatically identify the partition location, format, and capacity, and automatically create backup and recovery tasks, allowing you to quickly and securely create and restore system backup for the current computer.
When using ghostgo for the first time, you must determine the installation directory of the ghost to use ghostgo normally. There are six options (1) on the main interface of ghostgo ).
Automatic settings
Automatic setting is relatively simple (2). Select the partition to be backed up and the location where the backup file is to be stored. Click "Next" and it will automatically determine the partition format and location. If the used space of the partition to be backed up is greater than the remaining space of the partition to save the backup file, a prompt is displayed.
TIPS: This function only supports a single hard disk system. Do not use this function on multiple hard disk systems.
Detailed settings
In the detailed settings, copy the hard disk, copy the partition, create the image file, and restore the image file (3). The entire process is a Chinese interface. You can follow the prompts above to perform the operation. You can also compress the image file to save disk space.
If an image has important content, you can encrypt the image so that the image can be restored only by knowing the password (4 ).
If the created image file is too large, we can also split the image file (5) so that the image files can be saved separately. We can also set some specific parameters of the ghost, such as shielding some errors to make the image better.
Finally, you can choose whether to return to the DOS interface or restart the computer after completing the data backup. After selecting All the disks, place the floppy disk in the soft drive and click "OK". Then, ghostgo will automatically create the boot disk. After the task is set up, create the task to a floppy disk, folder, or disc and use it to guide the system. After the Chinese task information appears, press the "y" key, in this way, the system will automatically execute according to our settings.
Task Template
If you are troubled by detailed settings, you can also use the "task template" function (6) to quickly create preset tasks. You can also send the created template to a friend. The other party can select the template to perform the operation automatically, which is very simple.
The extension of the task template file is GGT. All Task template files are saved in the template folder under the running directory of ghostgo. After you select a task template, it will prompt whether to modify the task template to meet your requirements. If you do not need to modify it, select "no" to create it directly. If you need to modify the settings, select "yes" to go to the detailed settings page of the task template, and then perform the following operations, just like the "Detailed Settings" function.
Added the pure DOS Startup function for Windows 2000, XP, and 2003.
Most of the time, we still need to start the DOS mode at startup, but Windows 2000/XP/2003 and other operating systems do not support the DOS Startup Mode. We can use the "virtual floppy disk" function to add a pure DOS Startup Mode for these operating systems.
Select the "virtual floppy disk" option, click "Next" (7), adjust the waiting time in the system boot menu, and select the system boot information file to be configured (if the file does not exist, you cannot create a virtual floppy disk. For XP, It is c: \ Boot. INI), and then save the virtual floppy disk file to the hard disk location. Click "Next" to create a virtual floppy disk.
The "Start ghostgo virtual floppy disk" option will be displayed in the system boot menu displayed when the computer starts. Select it to boot to the DOS system.
TIPS: If you select the "add" boot from cd "feature in the boot menu, you can boot the system from the CD without changing the BIOS settings. Of course, the same way as the "virtual floppy disk" is used, it is also selected in the boot menu. To delete these boot functions, you only need to select "delete virtual floppy disk" or "delete boot from cd.
