You can see how the shape file can be loaded to Google Earth. If you have time, try again.

Convert the reference shape file to kmz and display it in Google Earth

(1) load a shape file in ArcGIS. The author loads the road (double-line Road) layer of a certain area.

(2) In arctoolbox, expand conversion tools> to kml> layer to kml,

(3) double-click layer to kml to open the layer to kml dialog box. In the layer, set the shape file to be converted. In the output file, set the output file path and name; set the output proportion in layer output scale. Click OK to generate the kmz file.

(4) start Google Earth and click Open… In the File menu ..., Find the generated kmz file and open it. Then we can see that Google Earth automatically jumps to the area where the opened kmz file is located.
