1.1 xinetd service configuration 1.1.1 check whether the xinetd service is installed

[Root @ backup ~] # Rpm-qa xinetd

[Root @ backup ~] # Rpm-ql xinetd

Package xinetd is not installed

1.1.2 install the xinetd service

[Root @ backup ~] # Yum install xinetd-y

[Root @ backup ~] # Rpm-qa xinetd

Xinetd-2.3.14-40.el6.x86_64

1.2 modify the/etc/xinetd. d/rsync file so that it starts with xinetd.

Vim/etc/xinetd. d/rsync

 

... Change disable = yes to disable = no

 

Disable = no

Use the command to modify (centos6.x)

Sed-I's # yes # no # G'/etc/xinetd. d/rsync

1.3 restart the system and check that port 873 is managed by xinetd.

[Root @ backup ~] # Netstat-lntup | grep 873
