Step 1:

After you type the default user name and password, the Alpha router setting interface of the Broadband Router appears. Select "quick installation" from the menu on the left of the page. If an IP address is already set in your Lan, you can change it to suit your network segment as needed. If there is no special need, the default values 192.168.18.1 and 255.255.255.0 can be used. Subnet Mask: the factory is set to "255.255.255.0". You can change it to suit your network segment as needed. Internet access: There are three options, you can choose according to your own situation. When you select different ways to access the Internet, there are different parameters below, you need to fill in.

1. "automatically retrieve IP addresses from ISP". This Alpha router setting method means that the router obtains the valid IP address of the WAN from ISP. The WAN end (ISP) must have a DHCP server. Some man or optical fiber access users or cable modem users use this method. You do not need to enter other parameters.

2. "fixed IP address access method", which is to specify the valid IP address of the WAN end of the router and the default gateway address of the WAN end. Some man or optical fiber access users or cable modem users use this method. The user must know and fill in the WAN end address, subnet mask, WAN end Default Gateway and DNS Server IP Address Provided by the ISP. If it is incorrect, you cannot access the Internet.

3. "virtual dial-up (PPPoE)". Currently, most ADSL users use the "virtual dial-up Internet" (PPPOE) method. You must enter the user name and password correctly. This is provided by the ISP when you apply for an ADSL user.

Note: 192.168.xxx.xxx is an address range for virtual networks. hosts with this IP address segment will not appear on the Internet. Therefore, it is recommended that the IP address of the workstation in your LAN be defined in this range. "Wide Area Network IP Address": Enter the valid IP address that the ISP provides to you. "Wan terminal netmask": Enter the subnet mask of the valid IP Address Provided by the ISP. "Wan Default Gateway": Enter the gateway address of the valid IP Address Provided by the ISP.
