Zabbix Create host, host group, monitor first server

The installation configuration of the Zabbix server and the Zabbix agent is described earlier, and today the first server is monitored using Zabbix.

1. Installing the Zabbix Agent

Install the Zabbix agent on the monitored server. Refer to the <<zabbix Agent installation configuration >>.

2. Zabbix Monitoring Server 2.1 creating a host

Configuration (config) –>hosts (host) –>create host (create host)

Property	Describe
Host Name Host Name	Host name, only allow numbers, spaces, periods, underscores, non-mainstream symbols it is not supported. Zabbix the hostname name in the client configuration file must match this name.
The Visible name Visible Name	Display name, optional. The alias of the host name.
Group Groups	Host to join the group, a host must join at least one group
The new group New Host Group	The new host group, if it is not what you want, you can write the name of the group, and it will join the main unit.
Agent interface Interfaces	Host interface: Contains agent, SNMP, JMX and IPMI. If you need to add an interface, just click "Add". Type the IP address of the client, it is recommended to use IP address to monitor, of course, you can use the domain name to monitor the way. Zabbix Agent default port 10050,snmp 161,jmx 12345,impi 623.
Monitored by proxy detection by System Agent	Whether through proxy monitoring, the default is no proxy, directly monitored by Zabbix server. If "Proxy name" (your proxy name) is selected, then the client collects the data by proxy
is enabled Status	Host status, monitored (monitored), not monitored (not monitored)

2.2 Connection Templates

Switch to the Templates tab and search the text box for the template you want, such as Linux, which will appear as template OS Linux,add. If you want to delete a template, select unlink to disassociate or unlink and clear (disassociate and clean), such as.

Unlink and unlink and clear differences

Property	Describe
Unlink	Cancel the template, the item in the template remains in the hosts
Unlink and clear	Cancel the template, and delete the monitored data and add the template to the host item also deleted

2.3 Enable host

Configuration (config) –>hosts (host)----> Enable host, as shown below

The green z indicates that the client is successfully monitored, and if the red z indicates a failure, the mouse is moved to the Red Z with a specific hint.

Assign the above host to a new host group (optional).
