In addition, I now use zabbix to monitor the server's hardware and software, so I moved the traffic monitoring of the switch from cacti to zabbix, zabbix is used to monitor server hardware, systems, services, switch traffic, and other information in a unified manner. This only maintains one monitoring platform, allowing for more detailed monitoring and alarm and better management.

Because zabbix monitoring requires that the monitoring host be associated with the template, the first step is to create a template. Of course, I have already completed the template, so you only need to modify it as needed. If I do not use fixed port monitoring but use discover for monitoring, the advantage is that the same template can discover and monitor the number of associated switch ports on its own, it does not occur because the ports are different and different port templates need to be created for use. At the same time, this template can not only monitor the H3C switch, but also monitor the CISCO switch.

The installation method is to import the template to zabbix, and then associate the monitored switch with the template, at the same time, set the macro variable in your SNMP community my template in zabbix to {$ SNMP_COMMUNITY_PUBLIC_V2}, and the corresponding background macro content to public).
