Zen road project management software

During this test for the library information maintenance system, after Jia Lin's recommendation, we used this software <Zen road project management software>, zentao is a professional project management software. this includes subdivided requirements, tasks, defects, and use cases. It fully covers the core processes of R & D projects and software lifecycle management. throughout our R & D process, it is very convenient for R & D teams to communicate and manage.

As we only use the bug test function, we will first introduce the use of this part.

(1) the basic process of using zentao

 

The three core roles of zentao are product managers, R & D teams, and test teams. The three roles collaborate with each other to achieve the separation of three powers in R & D management. The product manager sorts out the requirements, the R & D team implements the tasks, and the test team ensures the quality,

(2) create the first product

 

The design concept of zentao is centered on products. Therefore, the first thing we need to do is to create a product.

 

 

• The product name and product code are required. The product code can be understood as a common name for internal team conventions. For example, the Code of zentao is zentao, which must be a combination of English letters and numbers.
• Product owner: responsible for sorting out requirements, interpreting requirements, formulating release plans, and accepting requirements.
• Test owner: You can specify a test owner for a product. When you create a bug and do not know who will handle it, the testing owner of the product will become the default owner.
• Release owner: this role is responsible for creating a release.
• Resource Access Management: You can set the product access permissions. By default, only the product view access permissions can be set. If this product is a private product, you can set it as a private project, and only members of the project team can access it. You can also set a whitelist to allow users in certain groups to access the product.

 

(3) Bug Testing

The main task of project progress to the later stage is testing. Testers interact with developers through bugs to ensure product quality.

After the developer solves the bug, the bug is assigned to the creator of the bug again. At this time, the tester can verify whether the bug has been fixed. If the verification is successful, you can disable the bug.

 

So far, from submitting a bug in the test group to fixing a bug in the development team, the test group and the development team can easily communicate with each other through a function of Zen Road.
