10 spit suppliers worth of attention in 2015

For the first time since February 2010, we have published the IT Service provider Manifesto, "the Development of Non-traditional Telecommunications (and data network) technologies to achieve greater profitability of innovation, management, delivery and next-generation communications services (see Spit Declaration 2.0 and Spit Declaration), which continues to be subject to the Light Praise of Reading.

Guess what? We are right, even though some in the industry think our terminology is not quite right. But there is no denying that spit is "IT".

SDN and NFV are a direct result of the spit trend, which is that there are more it-centric capabilities in the wide-area network market. Correspondingly, increasingly important virtualization attaches more importance to OSS and BSS systems. These systems support and help communication network profitability: MANO (virtual network management capabilities and business processes) will become the 2015 most popular words, if it is not the next generation of OSS, what will it be?

In addition, analytics can be said to be one of the hottest areas of development in the communications industry, which is a spit capability (see "SDN,NFV and Lot World Analytics").

This prompted us to think which spit company would be able to make headlines in 2015. Here are the 10 spit companies that we have in mind in 2015, in alphabetical order.

1, Amdocs

Recently Amdocs CEO Eli Gelmana in an exclusive interview in New York told Light Reading,amdocs (NYSE: DOX), whose annual income is 3.6 billion dollars, its scope and size have already affected other parts of the spit area, and in recent years has used its scale to expand its capacity has become the NFV and the creator of the world, and has developed a much-needed analytical capability. It is hoped that Amdocs will further organize the virtualization and large data analysis through acquisitions next year.

2, Asiainfo

In the past, we noticed that the company is Huawei in the Spit field, which, although in China, has a global reach. Asiainfo at the end of 2013 into a strong Danish company Telenor ASA (NASDAQ: TELN). It's a good start, but what's next? If you want to be a company like Amdocs and Oracle (NASDAQ: ORACLE), it needs to make a bigger, more impressive leap in 2015.

3, Comverse

The Conway Company (NASDAQ: CNSI) needs to do something in 2015. Conway's CEO, Philippe Tartavul, led the company around two years ago, but the company has shrunk considerably during this time. But it's still a spit. Revenues are expected to reach about 450 million to 470 million dollars by January 2015, but there is still a big gap compared with the 653 million revenue from its sales of BSS and service innovation platforms in previous years. Conway acquired Solaiemes in August to invest in real-time communications, but to return to the growth model, Conway needs to do more next year.

4, Ericsson

Ericsson (Nasdaq Stock Code: ERIC) has acquired a range of spit professional teams, such as Telcordia and ConceptWave, to build their management systems over the past few years. Now, its scope extends beyond telecommunications to other areas, with its strong spit ability to support a larger customer base. This expansion has begun in the early years of this year's acquisition of Metratech, and we look forward to seeing subsequent mergers and acquisitions and cooperation in 2015 to support this strategy.

5, Matrixx Software

Matrixx Software has developed a real-time trading platform and a range of application software (online billing, policy management, pricing analysis). In their own words, "Our goal is to serve the future needs of our communications service providers, not to serve their previous needs". The company raised new funds in 2014, although it did not disclose the size of the funds, but light reading that more than 13 million dollars. We hope that the Matrixx company will be able to get more benefit from the telecom service buyers and potential buyers.

6, Netcracker

Netcracker's main mission in 2015 was how to help its parent company NEC Group (Tokyo: 6701). Netcracker needs to make real progress in the international market, proving its identity as a spit company, proving that it can meet the needs of network operators and introduce them to NFV and Sdn. Netcracker Company has made significant progress with the major communications service providers in 2014, and we have every reason to believe that it will continue to develop in 2015. NEC is a pioneer in the SDN market, using Netcracker to propose next-generation OSS, bringing Sdn/nfv/mano together to the global market, which is a real opportunity for NEC. But the question is: Does NEC have the will and the ability to do it?

7, NetScout Bae

NetScout Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: NTC) has been a major supplier of network monitoring and analysis systems, but it has signaled that it will become a larger spit enterprise. Earlier in 2014, NetScout announced the acquisition of Dahaner's communications unit. Dahaner Communications Group includes Tektronix Communications (network detection, customer experience management, analytics) and security system professional team Arbor Network Company. The deal should be completed by 2015, after which NetScout will be able to implement its new strategy. Similarly, in 2015, NetScout will be in the next round of legal action with Gartner.

8, Ontology Bae

As communication networks have more and more data flow, telecom operators need to know more about the trends of these networks. With the introduction of virtualized network elements, this demand will become more urgent and the work becomes more difficult. Ontology system has developed an accurate view system. Ontology Bae may not be the most famous in the industry, but we think it will attract more attention in 2015.

9, Oracle

2015, what does Oracle (NASDAQ Stock Code: ORCL) do? It has worked the SDN controller group and has developed a NFV strategy. It has gained the on-site management of the OSS professional team--toa technology. We had expected more performance from Oracle since 2014, when it acquired the leader of Tekelec and IP infrastructure, the signal and policy control company, but that was not the case. In the 2015, we expect Oracle to have a greater role in the field of communications.

10, Ubiqube FX

The French spit supplier Ubiqube FX SA has been looking for its place and role for several years. However, the wave of virtualization is impacting the telecommunications industry, the company spent a lot of time and resources to develop technology, establish customer relations. But management and business processes will be the subject of Ublqube in the 2015. Ublqube has developed a SDN business process system for hybrid network management. We look forward to hearing more from the company's market in the coming year-it will add some major telecoms companies to its client list.
