13 million dollars B-round swiftype for Web sites, app site search

Search solution Start-up Swiftype recently received a 13 million dollar round of financing.

Swiftype is a start-up that provides internal search tools for Web sites and mobile apps, graduated from YC in 2012, headquartered in San Francisco and employs 25 people.

Swiftype can provide built-in search engine services for Web sites and mobile apps. Its deployment is very simple, only need to enter the URL address platform to perform the crawl of the user's Web site, insert JavaScript code embedded in the site is to complete the creation of the search engine. Swiftype also provides analytical services for Web site retrieval to analyze user's search behavior and usage preferences. Swiftype also supports ordering custom search results.

Google is undoubtedly the boss of the search field, but Swiftype also has its own web site and app side advantages, its platform can be customized very strong, Swiftype also opened the API interface for the site in-depth access to its search function, can meet the personalized needs of different sites, While Google has its own custome Search Engine, but customization is not strong enough.

At present, Swiftype has provided site search for over 100,000 websites and apps, including Qualcomm, Dr Pepper, Twitch and CloudFlare.

This round of financing is invested by NEA, and the proceeds of financing will be used to expand business and strengthen the sales and marketing force. The Swiftype had received a seed round of 1.7 million dollars and a round of $7.5 million trillion in financing, which has reached a total of $22.2 million trillion.
