In April this year, InFocus launched a 55-inch Windows 8 touchscreen pc called "Bigtouch", priced at $4999. This week, the company revealed that it would also launch a larger 70-inch version. Like 55-inch products, the 70-inch Bigtouch supports 5-point touch, with a resolution of 1920x1080. Hardware, it has an Intel Core i5-2520m processor, 4GB of RAM, 128GB SSD, and 7 USB ports. In an email, Heidi Kayser, the company's marketing manager, said, "InFocus is delighted with the choice of Bigtouch for consumers," but did not mention specific sales figures. As for the reason for the 70-inch version, Kayser said: "Customers say they need bigger products and use them in large conferences, venues and classrooms." Many companies and even universities are looking for ways to maintain face-to-face communication to save time and cut travel expenses, while a 70-inch Bigtouch is a good choice. InFocus also announced a 70-inch Mondopad product, which is mainly used to run Microsoft Office 2010 Office suite, as well as the hardware and software required for videoconferencing. The 70-inch Mondopad is priced at $11000.
