BEIJING, February 25, according to the Ministry of Commerce testing, as of now, 9 pilot provinces and cities to recover the old home appliances more than 7.2 million units, dismantling five major categories of old appliances nearly 3.5 million, dismantling rate of 49% or so. According to the Ministry of Commerce, home appliances with the old for new jobs since the start of August 2009, the progress is relatively smooth. As of February 20, 2010, home appliances to replace the old home appliances 7.217 million units, sales of 6.67 million new appliances, sales amounted to 26.45 billion yuan. Recycling of waste appliances, can produce scrap steel, waste plastics, copper and other renewable resources more than 120,000 tons, not only improve the efficiency of resource utilization, but also to prevent environmental pollution.
