Digitimes reports that Quanta will be the main supply chain partner for iwatch and large sized ipads. Quanta has already won large ipad orders and is vying for iwatch orders with British and Foxconn.
The report pointed out that the 12.9-inch ipad production will be extremely difficult, quanta and other manufacturers will face industrial design and assembly issues, 12.9 inches does not belong to the "mainstream specifications" also bring difficulties to production work. As a result, the new ipad order volume will be limited.
It is rumored that iwatch will be equipped with a large number of biosensors, making it ideal for fitness and health purposes. Ming-chi Kuo, a renowned analyst Guo Mingchi, has said he expects iwatch to be available for sale in the second half of 2014.
The ipad Air is configured with a 9.7-inch display and the two ipad Mini is equipped with a 7.9-inch display.
