A SDN architecture for cloud computing services

With the rapid growth of applications and the number and type of businesses migrating to the cloud, networking capabilities are becoming increasingly important. The networking support provided by the cloud service provider and the cloud controller platform has developed rapidly. However, in most cloud networking service models, users must configure the various network layer constructs (such as switches, subnets, and access control lists) for use by cloud applications. This paper presents a service-level network model which can provide more advanced connectivity and policy abstraction required by cloud applications.
