A survey of data-centric intelligent city Research

With the development of urban informatization and data science, the intelligent city has become a new concept and practice in the future city. Data management, application and analysis technology, such as large data, data activation and data mining, play a key role in the construction of intelligent city. From the perspective of information science, this paper focuses on the topic of data-centered, and summarizes the latest developments of intelligent city research. This paper combs the urban data types and their characteristics which are widely used in the research of intelligent cities, and introduces the present research work in this field from two aspects of related research work and technology and research characteristics. The related research covers technical system research, data-driven intelligent transportation, urban computing technology and statistical mechanics of urban human activities. The introduction of technology and research features includes the core technology and theory, as well as the interdisciplinary of field research, the city data as the center, the regional characteristic and so on. Finally, the future development direction of this research field is summarized and prospected.
