Again: Android AOSP to the tablet, adding multiple windows

Google completely removed the tablet interface code from the AOSP in the Jelly Bean era, completely replaced by phablet. Even their own Nexus 10-series tablet has not been updated, leaving only the Nexus 7, which is positioned close to the tablet phone.

However, perhaps the major manufacturers are still insisting on the use of the Android system of large-screen tablets, SONY even want to use such products to replace the original VAIO product line, and because Android itself no longer have a flat panel interface, so that manufacturers have to make deep customization of existing systems- Google has again added a AOSP feature to the tablet device.

According to Phandroid, the new submissions they found in the AOSP source code suggest that "multiple windows (multiwindows)" is about to appear in later versions of the Android update.

Multi-window functionality has always relied on Android only to be implemented by a third party, initially by some community independent developers, and then by Samsung's TouchWiz for the note series and Third-party custom firmware Omnirom created by former CYANOGENMOD members.

However, AOSP submission did not reveal more details, the specific multi-window implementation is similar to the existing Third-party two windows side-by-step, or mobile resolution to achieve the same screen separated multiple applications are not confirmed.
