Agilent demonstrates test solutions at International EMC Symposium

Agilent Technology (Agilent Technologies) demonstrated its testing solutions at the IEEE International Electromagnetic Compatibility Symposium held in Pittsburg in August 5-10th.

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) has become a key requirement for new electrical and electronic products, and current global government regulations require formal certification testing and field (In-field) monitoring. Agilent's extensive electromagnetic interference (EMI) Testing products include the testing capabilities required for design, Highland Manufacturing, manufacturing, and building.

Agilent demonstrated the following test solutions at the Workshop:

Systemvue 2012.06: Designers can use this software to build medium channel (Mid-channel) repeaters and optical link models for high-speed digital wafer (chip-to-chip) and rack to rack (rack-to-rack) links, A few months of programming time can be saved by using the C language for manual coding. These models can then be sent to repeaters and optical link clients to use the transient/loop simulator in the ADS advanced design system to integrate the model into a complete end-to-end channel simulation.

Agilent n9038a MXE: This fully compatible EMI receiver can perform CISPR, MIL std and DO-160 measurements. Built-in diagnostic tools include spectrum analysis, spectral, bar and histogram. The Agilent n6141a EMI measurement application software is used with the Agilent X Series Signal Analyzer to perform the advanced certification test of conduction radiation and radiation emission.

Fieldfox RF Analyzer and Fieldfox Vector Network Analyzer: These handheld testers are known for their rugged field/field environment use and durability, and perform a variety of functions, including day feeder analysis, spectrum analysis and vector network analysis, and built-in quickcal validation. Allow engineers to check the network analyzer without checksum to the field.

New Agilent pna-l Vector Network Analyzer: This tester delivers the highest performance in the middle-order VNA with lower cost and future-proof capabilities. Agilent will use PNA-L to showcase the EMC Room feature description.
