Agilent Technology (Agilent Technologies) recently released the X-Series Signal Analyzer software to support the new 802.11AC WLAN standard. With this version of software, test engineers can accelerate design validation and testing in the development of 802.11AC WLAN components and devices and in the high-speed production phase.

802.11AC is built on 802.11n and is the newest WLAN standard. It has a wide range of 160 MHz, MIMO support, and a high-density 256QAM modulation capability to provide 1-gbps transmission rates for multiple base stations at frequencies below 6 GHz. With two newly published options for Agilent n9077a WLAN application software, the Agilent X Series Signal Analyzer now supports 802.11AC standards, dramatically simplifying and speeding up the design validation and production testing of next-generation wireless devices.

"Designing and testing the next generation of wireless components is a complex and challenging task, and engineers rely on the industry's newest, state-of-the-art solutions," said Zhang Zhiming, general manager of the Taiwan Agilent Technology electronic Measurement Business group. Agilent's new 802.11AC standard support enables us to continue delivering our next-generation wireless test solutions. These software not only enhances the unmatched efficiency and versatility of the X-Series Signal Analyzer, but also provides engineers with the new standard support capabilities needed to design future wireless products. 」

Agilent n9077a WLAN measurement application software supports 802.11 a/b/g/n, and the newly published option 4FP provides a single-button 802.11AC test feature that allows engineers to perform design validation and testing at the beginning of product development.

In combination with Agilent's highest-order PXA Signal Analyzer (with option b1x, which provides 160 MHz of analysis bandwidth), the Agilent n9077a option 4FP assists engineers in measuring 802.11ac WLAN signals from 20 to 160 MHz and 80+80 MHz for full bandwidth.

The main measurement functions of the software include transmission of Star graph error (EVM), Transmission spectrum Mask (SEM), spectrum flatness and complementary cumulative distribution function (CCDF). All functions have qualified/unqualified test instructions that meet the standards of IEEE.

Agilent n9077a WLAN measurement application software and option 4FP can be performed inside the signal Analyzer to perform the inside and the scanning measurements, further increasing the channel frequency to a range of MHz. In this way, the engineer does not need the medium frequency (IF) digital bandwidth hardware to perform 802.11AC 160-mhz spectral emission measurements. This option also supports 802.11AC 80+80 MHz discontinuous channel spectral emission masks (SEM).

Agilent also publishes the new n9077a option 5FP. This WLAN bar sorting function is available for MXA or ex x series signal analyzers to assist the industry in accelerating the manufacturing of 802.11AC and 802.11a/b/g/n components and devices with a bandwidth of up to MHz.

With the column sort measurement function, engineers need not switch and reconfigure between different CONGFA, which can greatly speed up the test. This option uses the SCPI directive to retrieve up to 45 WLAN CONGFA a single time and to configure each bundle with different frequency, standard, power range, or trigger type. In addition, the engineer can perform the modulation analysis on 45 bundles of hair, transmission power and output spectrum, spectrum radiation Mask (SEM), such as a number of measurements, as long as a few seconds to obtain the measurement results, not only greatly lift the test speed and efficiency, but also maintain the WLAN device for calibration, operation and analysis of the characteristics of flexibility.

Agilent n9077a WLAN measurement application software is a set of more than 25 sets of measurement applications for Agilent's X-Series Signal Analyzer, which can be widely used in honeycomb communication, wireless connection, digital video and aerospace and defense applications. The Agilent X-Series Analyzer combines revolutionary signal analysis with instruments, measurements, and software to include high order PXA, general-purpose Mxa, Exa for general purposes and low cost cxa. These analyzers provide a consistent signal analysis architecture and flexibility to meet the business and technical needs of a wide range of products and programs.
