Chen Shanshan recently, Samsung Communications and a group of Samsung Electronics goods, in Tianjin to Taipei Air transport process, the port transit time, save 24-28 hours, in the purpose of clearing the delivery link also saved nearly 8 hours. This is thanks to an experiment carried out by China Eastern Airlines and Tianjin Airport, which completes all kinds of operation and customs clearance in accordance with international electronic freight standards. During the whole process of transporting cargo, no paper waybill and paper cargo clerk were transported. "After the implementation of electronic freight, due to the shortening of logistics time, our products can be sent to customers in a more timely manner." Tianjin Samsung Communications Deputy general manager Chui Wei-min said. Yesterday, for Samsung to shorten the logistics time of the freight and Tianjin airport, has also been awarded by the International Air Transport Association certification of electronic goods, means that the electronic freight in mainland China officially began to promote. Today's domestic travellers, most of them have been accustomed to the transition from paper-based ticket to electronic ticket, and electronic freight is after the electronic ticket, another is aimed at reducing paper documents, improve transport efficiency, reduce the cost of the civil aviation industry "simplified business" project. In fact, the e-freight project is the International Aviation Association, which occupies 93% scheduled flights and represents 230 airlines worldwide, and the "simplifying Business" project, launched in 2006, aims to streamline the flow of air cargo by removing 12 important paper documents required for air cargo. and "electronic ticket" compared to the promotion of electronic freight involved in more participants, air cargo companies, freight forwarders, ground processing agents, carriers and customs need to participate in it. The promotion of electronic freight can indeed save a lot of costs. According to global statistics, the International air transport industry on average to handle up to 35 copies of paper documents, if the use of all the air cargo within one year to add together, enough to fill 39 single aircraft carrying more than 100 tons of Boeing 747 full cargo aircraft, and the implementation of electronic freight, Will reduce at least 62% of the total amount of paper used in the freight process. Not only that, by replacing paper files with electronic information, the average length of transit and delivery time of air cargo is shortened by 24 hours; As a result of the real-time transparent monitoring of information in the transport link, the shipper can reduce the adjusted reserve stock for the unreliable factors in the logistics chain by 22%; In addition, by entering electronic data at once, Improving the accuracy of customs inspection data will also reduce the resulting customs penalties. As a result, the electronic cargo project was launched, and gradually received the response of airlines and airports around the world. Currently, the world has 26 airlines, 127 airports and 192 freight forwarders successfully implemented the electronic freight, but in mainland China has been a blind spot. The air cargo and Tianjin Airport obtained IATA electronic cargo certification, it fills the Chinese mainland in this area of the gap. Mainland China has thus become the 26th in the world to provide paperless air cargo destination of electronic cargo. IATA also hopes to extend the experience of Tianjin Airport and China Cargo airlines to other Chinese airports,In addition to international electronic freight, in June 2010, China will also be in 6 destination cities, namely Guangzhou, Dalian, Shanghai, Xiamen, Shenzhen and Wuxi, the promotion of domestic electronic freight projects, 8 Mainland China major airlines participated in the project. Southern Airlines has been in Guangzhou-Harbin flights on the pilot operation of the cargo electronic manifest, and China cargo Airlines are also busy preparing for Shanghai-Xian and Shanghai-Xiamen's domestic electronic cargo routes. According to the statistics of IATA, China has 7 million main waybill transactions each year, freight sales of more than 28 billion yuan, the carrier total weight of 4.03 million tons, accounting for the global freight market 10%. IATA expects that the full implementation of electronic freight will save China's air cargo industry 420 million yuan in document processing costs, the industry indirectly benefited more than 4 billion yuan.
