Alibaba became a strategic partner of the 2018 World Artificial Intelligence Conference

This morning, at the 30-day press conference of the 2018 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, Alibaba Group became the first strategic partner of the conference. At the press conference, Ma Chunlei, deputy secretary general of the Shanghai Municipal Government, Chen Mingbo, director of the Municipal Economic and Information Technology Commission, and Chen Shiyan, deputy head of Xuhui District, issued certificates for strategic partners.

It is reported that the conference was co-sponsored by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Network Office, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government.

As a strategic partner, Alibaba Group has organized the sub-forum “City Brain · Future Life”. The sub-forum will focus on smart security, smart supply chain, and smart travel with the theme of “Better City, Better Life”. At that time, Alibaba Group Vice President Hua Xiansheng, corporate partner representatives and a number of artificial intelligence academic experts will share the topic on the spot.

Recently, Shanghai and Alibaba Group and Ant Financial Group have reached a strategic cooperation agreement. The cooperation between the two parties involves promoting the coordinated development of the Yangtze River Delta and promoting technological innovation. Among them, the cloud computing and big data technology provided by Alibaba Cloud will help Shanghai to build a global benchmark for the fine governance of super-large cities, and promote the development of new local retail, smart logistics, environmental governance and other fields.

In fact, prior to this, Alibaba Cloud has achieved phased results in helping to achieve digital transformation in various fields in Shanghai. For example, some sites of the Shanghai Metro have begun to apply the intelligent ticketing system supported by Alibaba Cloud voice technology; Roewe, MG, Datong and other self-owned brand new cars are equipped with Zebra Zhixing based on AliOS operating system, and its loading capacity has exceeded 700,000 units.
