Alibaba Global Course 2018 Ceremony and Conference in Singapore

Alibaba the global e-commerce giant brought its one-day Alibaba Global Course to Singapore for the very first time and Danny Yeo was selected by the organiser Singapore Institute of Retail Studies (SIRS) to host the event as an emcee for both the launch ceremony as well as the day-long conference. Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Ministry of Trade and Industry Ms Low Yen Ling was the Guest of Honour and she made special mention of Danny Yeo as one of her important partners in education serving in Ministry of Education’s Committee for Promoting Chinese Language Learning.

Alibaba also announced a 30-month extension of its partnership with SIRS, which was first signed in 2016.

More than 2000 participants attended the conference, representing more than 600 SMEs and MNCs, thus making the event the largest AGC to-date, globally, exceeding numbers in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Speakers at the conference included Mr Brian Wong, Vice President of Alibaba, Mr Lewis Lew, Vice President of Taobao University, Mr Zhao Kun, Senior Director of Alibaba Group, Mr Fan Cheng Xian, Senior Director of Alibaba Group Youku Operation Centre, Mr Yan Xue Kun, Chief Technology Officer of Intime Business, Mr Pan Zheng, Overseas Sales Director of Suofeiya, Mr Yang Wen Ya, Lecturer of Taobao University, and Ms Zhang Xiao of China Business Network.
