December 4, according to Sploid, MIT (MIT) new research out of the Stealth camera (Stealth Camera: Not the camera itself stealth, is to shoot ' invisible ' in the dark people or things. Allows smartphones to shoot clear 3D images in completely dark scenes. MIT researchers say the technology is just a new mathematical imaging algorithm.
Anyone with a smartphone knows that in a completely dark situation, you don't have to use a camera to take a clear picture, even the eyes are hard to see. Even if you get the picture, it's a bunch of dark grains. But MIT researchers say they have been able to make "super clear 3D Images" in a scene with little light.
MIT's electrical engineer Ahmed Kirmani said their team didn't invent a new laser or a new detector, but based on existing hardware and software, a new imaging algorithm was used to get more information. The algorithm can sketch out some different parts of the digital object (related to the light), thus rendering the image.
Sploid's columnist believes that these are very basic levels of darkness in the shooting, and that the device still needs a little light to function, after all, there is no real sense of utter total darkness. The technology may be more helpful to military intelligence and espionage.
