AMD today unveiled its strategy and roadmap to recapture the market share of enterprise and datacenter servers through innovative products that meet the requirements of the fastest growing data center and cloud computing applications.

The Seattle processor's performance is expected to be 2-4 times that of AMD's recently released AMD Opteron X-series processors, with a significant increase in computing power per watt. Seattle has 128GB DRAM support, improved efficiency, reduced load, caliber encryption, and the ability to compress and integrate traditional networks, including 10Gb Ethernet. This will be the first AMD to integrate AMD's advanced freedom fabric technology for high density computing systems directly onto the chip's processor products. AMD plans to sample "Seattle" in the first quarter of 2014, with mass production starting in the second half of 2014.

"Berlin":

"Berlin" is a x86 based processor that can be used as a CPU or APU. The processor has four next-generation "steamroller" cores, 1 billion times per watt floating-point speed is nearly 8 times times the current AMD Opteron 6386SE processor. This will be the first server APU built on the basis of the AMD Revolutionary Heterogeneous System Architecture (HSA). The AMD Open 3.0 server is the industry's most cost-effective open computing platform. "Warsaw" will be listed in the first quarter of 2014.
