An analysis of corporate social responsibility

At the weekend, we received the 2011 CSR report from Pacific Insurance. Before, there are several insurance companies sent me a corporate social responsibility report, look at a few pages on the shelf.

This time, it is rare to sink down the heart to read only to find that the production of these reports are mostly intentions of enterprises. Which, there is a chart that impresses me, titled "Our Progress": Before 2008, the main manifestation of CSR was to devote to the social public welfare undertakings, such as supporting the hope Primary school and subsidizing children's welfare institutions, and in the 2011, the main manifestation of CSR became, conducted the research of stakeholder, System to understand the relevant parties, improve corporate social responsibility management system.

Such progress is gratifying. Corporate social responsibility should not rigidly adhere to the form and image of the project, more importantly, the corporate social responsibility and the company's strategy, business model closely combined to promote corporate social responsibility into the company's business management, business development of all aspects, in the realization of the company's value growth, for shareholders, customers, Employees and social stakeholders to create a comprehensive value.

There is no doubt that the continued creation of value for shareholders, to enhance the experience for customers, build a platform for their employees to serve the people's livelihood, the social responsibility of these enterprises is naturally indispensable, and more importantly, to the industry, how to their own values and actions to positively affect partners, competitors, to promote the entire supply chain of corporate social responsibility building.

Unlike banks and securities, the insurance industry is easily misunderstood and ignored. In particular, the past people, those things, has put the entire industry into the "integrity quagmire." Any company that has corporate social responsibility should take "saving" and "reshaping" the insurance industry as its own responsibility.
