Sina Science and technology news Beijing time of February 11, a new report from Nomura shows that the Android system brings a huge amount of authorized revenue to Microsoft each year. The report shows that Microsoft's latest fiscal year has generated 1.6 billion of dollars in revenue from Android, thanks to a licensing agreement between Google and Microsoft. Interestingly, these authorized revenues fill the losses of Microsoft's entertainment and equipment sector projects. Currently, the Xbox from the Department is one of Microsoft's most expensive products, and the loss to Microsoft in a year is $2 billion trillion. If there is no licensing fee from Android, Microsoft will lose 2.5 billion dollars a year in the department. Rick Sherlund, an analyst at Nomura Securities, estimates that Microsoft has Rick Cherende about $5 trillion in authorized revenue from each Android device, while Microsoft's licensing agreement covers 70% markets. According to Cherende data, Android devices shipped 122.5 million units in the third quarter of 2012, bringing Microsoft $386 million trillion in revenue. By the second quarter of 2013, Microsoft's revenue had risen to about $489 million trillion. Assuming a gross profit margin of 90%, Microsoft gained 1.6 billion dollars in fiscal 2013 through Android, while the 2014 and 2015 fiscal year will also grow to 1.73 billion and 1.82 billion dollars. Earlier, some in the industry estimated that under the licensing agreement, Microsoft's licensing fee for each Android device is 5 to 15 U.S. dollars, which means that Cherende data is still conservative. It also shows that Android's real revenue for Microsoft is more than Windows Phone. Cherende estimates that Windows phone has brought Microsoft $3.3 billion trillion in revenue this fiscal year, but gross profit is only 347 million dollars, less than 22% of Android-related revenue. It should be noted that Microsoft has never disclosed the financial status of the authorized business. But Microsoft has publicly announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with almost every hardware manufacturer. (D-Gold)
