Android is still a leader in weak growth, according to a market research agency Kantar's latest analysis of the mobile operating system market, while its main competitor, iOS and Windows Phone, has seen a different degree of market share decline. Android is ahead of its main rivals in Europe and the United States, with market share reaching 73.9% and 61.8% respectively. In the European market, Apple's share is 15.4%, while Microsoft's Windows Phone is just 9.2%. Another interesting phenomenon is that iOS's share of the US market fell 3.3%, to 32.6%, compared with the second quarter. Windows phone's performance was similarly poor, and market share shrank further, from 4.6% to 4.3%. As for the manufacturers, LG and Motorola performance is eye-catching, Kantar is optimistic about their future with Samsung and Apple competition. At present, LG's G3 is selling, while Motorola will bet on Moto X. The Chinese market, because of the strong rise of millet, Samsung also felt a great deal of pressure. Millet's market share surged to 30.3%, while Samsung slid to 18.4%. Another noteworthy phenomenon is that 16% of all smartphones sold in China have a screen size of 5.5 inches or greater.
