Now, a new round of patent warfare will soon be staged.
Apple will launch a new round of patent lawsuits against Samsung on Wednesday, demanding compensation of as much as $2 billion trillion. This time, Apple will sue Samsung with five utility patents, including an automatic correction of input errors on the iphone, a sliding unlock of the main screen and a "universal search" that allows users to find devices. Apple has accused Samsung of violating the patents, including Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II, and asked Samsung to pay USD 40 for each device that infringes the patent.
Samsung said: Apple's iphone 5 and the ipad mini copied Samsung products. Samsung also invited Google Android engineers to take part in the lawsuit to weaken Apple's home advantage in the United States. Samsung's claim of $22 million trillion was slightly exaggerated, but Apple responded that the heavy penalty was to protect California's innovation and employment.
