According to foreign media reports, sources said AOL is working with the local news aggregation website outside.in on the possible acquisition of negotiations.

The source said that it is too early to say that the AOL acquisition outside.in, another side may join the negotiations. The source said it would take a long time.

A AOL spokeswoman said the company would not comment on rumours or speculation. Many outside.in investors also declined to comment.

Steven Johnson, author of Steven Johnson, set up a local news aggregation website in 2006, with investors including investment institutions outside.in (Union Square Ventures), Anderson (Marc Andreessen) , John Boss Wick (John Borthwick) and Sdell Daison (Esther Dyson).

If AOL completes the deal, Outside.in will be integrated into AOL's local news blog network patch.
