Application Discovery Service OOOMF: Let users participate in development

Many mobile applications set a grand goal for development, but quickly lost direction after release, and then forgotten. The Montreal start-up Ooomf has launched a new application search platform service that can bridge users and developers and involve users in helping developers develop applications.

Through OOOMF, developers can let users know the relevant application information during the application development. OOOMF also allows users to participate in the development process of the application and to provide feedback on interface design to help with development efforts. Unlike the same type of fundraising platform Kickstarter, OOOMF provides rewards for users, not developers.

In addition to the applications that will be released, existing applications can use OOOMF to improve themselves. OOOMF CEO Mikael Cho says there are more than 200 apps available on the site.

Wahooly is also an application tool that helps mobile application developers receive feedback and advice from users, and it gives a small share of the user's advice. But unlike OOOMF, which provides a choice for developers who do not want to give up any equity, OOOMF gives users some immediate benefits, such as the application's preemption or purchase discounts.

It's a good idea for developers to listen to feedback from users by OOOMF before publishing apps, but at the same time competitors can use it to get some information. Only by continually attracting the core users and promising applications can ooomf survive in the fierce market competition. At present, the company is working with the application of Lication Developers Alliance and application Italism cooperation, hoping to attract more users.

OOOMF now has a 500,000 dollar seed fund, led by Real Ventures in Montreal, a BDC investment and several Angel investments. （
