This technical problem resulted in many orders not being submitted successfully. Asos's social media channels are constantly receiving inquiries and complaints about failures, and many customers are demanding returns. But Asos did not disclose the cause of the failure, an Australian Division spokesman said that the fault was sorry, and said to provide compensation.
It is understood that Asos's official website is developed using Microsoft's. NET Framework and uses a Sitecor CRM system. ASOS uses the Red Prairie software system for warehouse management, uses Merret to manage inventory, and uses MetaPack for global distribution management. Computer Weekly has reported that Asos has been trying to upgrade its payment system in the second half of 2013, and also wants to improve its own site search system.
In December 2013, Asos said they had 7.9 million active users, a 41% increase from 2012.
