The net profit for the fourth quarter of 2009 was $5.659 billion trillion (USD 176 million), Asus said in a statement today. Asustek said it had a stronger demand for low-cost computers, which last year saw a rise in performance compared to the previous years. This performance is also in line with Taiwan's overall industrial recovery situation. However, Asus did not give an accurate forecast, and analysts warned that there was still a possibility of disappointment.
