Auditor General of Audit Jiayi will be chairman of the United Nations Board of Auditors

BEIJING, December 29 (Xinhua) reporter Cui Peng today learned from the Audit Commission: the Auditor-General Jiayi will be the United Nations Board of Auditors since January 1, 2011, serving for two years. Since July 1, 2008, the Auditor-General of China has officially served on the United Nations Board of Auditors for a term of 6 years. Since its inception, the Audit Commission has audited 17 projects, including United Nations peacekeeping operations, the United Nations Children's Fund and the United Nations University. By the end of 2010, the audit Office had successfully completed the fiscal year audits of 9 projects, such as United Nations peacekeeping operations and UNICEF, and submitted 12 audit reports to the United Nations Board of Auditors and 73 management submissions.　　Through the audit, the Audit Office revealed the United Nations in the governance, management and control of the outstanding problems, audit report quality by the United Nations Fifth Committee, such as the high evaluation of the audit recommendations by the Audit unit is highly recognized. It is reported that, after the Auditor-General of the Audit Office of China as the Chairman of the United Nations Board of Auditors, the China National Audit Commission will comprehensively coordinate the audit of more than 20 United Nations agencies, lead the other two members of the United Nations Board of Auditors, promote the United Nations to implement international public Sector accounting standards and and efficient, contributing to the goals of the United Nations for the maintenance of peace, the Millennium Development and equity and justice.
