Avoid Microsoft's well-meaning reminders-"black screen" tips-turn off Automatic Updates for XP systems

Windows Genuine Value Added plan (Windows Genuine Advantage, WGA) is a project that Microsoft itself has set up to fight piracy. "My Computer" right click, select "Properties → Automatic Updates", select "Turn off Automatic Updates", click "OK" exit.

Second, the most professional method:

"My Computer" right click, select "Admin", click the plus sign next to services and applications on the left, select the Services item, or enter Services.msc directly in run to open the Service Settings window.
