Baosteel Group publishes China's first thematic CSR report

Baosteel Group released its 2009 Social Responsibility report at the China Pavilion of Expo Park.　　This is the second CSR report issued by Baosteel Group, and the first domestic theme-type CSR report. The report, with the theme "This is our responsibility", builds the reporting framework through value creation, integrity management, environmental improvement three foundations and three priorities for employees, communities and supply chains, and interprets Baosteel's unique understanding of social responsibility. The report, for the first time, fully disclosed the social responsibility of the seven major business sectors of Baosteel Group, including steel industry, resource development, extension of steel processing, engineering and technical services, coal chemicals, finance, renewable resource utilization and production service sectors.　　The major subsidiaries of each plate are based on economic performance, four aspects of social performance, employee performance and environmental performance, the paper systematically describes the social responsibility promotion in the 2009, objectively, truthfully and comprehensively reflects Baosteel's practice of fulfilling social responsibility in 2009, and demonstrates the concept and confidence of building green Baosteel and promoting two times. In addition, compared with the 2008 Social Responsibility report, the social Responsibility report released this year has a significant increase in the disclosure of data indicators, with a total of more than 260 indicators, with data indicators reaching 120, representing an increase of 52% and 71% respectively in 2008, The large increase of disclosure index not only reflects the more transparent management and operation of Baosteel, but also shows that the social responsibility system of Baosteel is more in-depth.
