Big Data era: Hadoop certification turned into a high paying ticket

Relevant Hadoop development training requires a trained person to have Java programming experience, while for Hadoop management training it requires the trainer to have Linux or UNIX management experience. IBM, for its new initiative, has called for undergraduate and graduate students to begin training in college, with the aim of reaching out to big data concepts and Hadoop during their college days. The IBM initiative has attracted 14000 students since last October. IBM offers six online courses that cover the context of Hadoop basics. IBM said that among the large registered population, about 10% students completed the relevant accreditation within 5 months.

At the same time, MIT requires computer-science students to build programs using Hadoop mapreduce. And the UC Berkeley is working on the field of data science with Hadoop.
