Big three operators invest heavily in building large cloud computing data centers in Inner Mongolia

Cloud computing is the key and strategic technology of the Innovation and development of computer and Internet, and the distributed information resources are aggregated and dispatched to the audiences in the form of service. Based on the characteristics of the cloud computing industry, the cloud Computing Center is best suited to areas that are rich in energy, abundant in electricity, cold and close to the market. With its vast territory and cool and dry climate, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has obvious advantages of location, climate, land and power in building cloud computing data centers.

It is understood that the new start of the Hohhot cloud computing base mainly includes 6 major projects, namely: China Telecom Inner Mongolia Information Park, China Mobile (hohhot) data Center, the Northwest (Hohhot) base and 3 power, information supporting projects, the total investment of more than 53 billion yuan.

According to Wang, chairman of China Telecom Group, the Inner Mongolia Information Park project plans to invest 12 billion yuan, set the cloud computing Center, IDC Data Center, call center, warehousing, office and living area functions as a whole, to provide the whole society with computing, storage and functional network resources integrated services.

According to the planning, China Mobile (hohhot) data Center project plans to invest 12 billion yuan, the construction of a total area of 720,000 square meters of data center, built gradually to achieve centralized network management, business support, enterprise information and other international operations support, promote LTE, cloud computing, Internet of Things and other new technology research and innovation.

Zhang Juan, deputy general manager of China Unicom Group, said that China Unicom Northwest (Hohhot) base project plans to invest 12.3 billion yuan, built a cloud computing center, call center, IDC data center, such as one of the mega-project, will become the most exquisite, the greenest, the most advanced communications base project.

According to the introduction, Hohhot cloud computing industry base will become China Telecom, China Mobile, the Chinese Unicom Cloud computing development, research and application of one of the important infrastructure, and ultimately provide consumers with inexpensive cloud services and information services.
