Play video (compile/applies) The blizzard announced today that they will formally participate in the "Change the equation" education program advocated by President Obama to promote basic research in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics through games. Last week, U.S. President Barack Obama launched a "formula change" program aimed at improving education in the country's basic areas, calling on CEOs and teachers from the nation's top companies to take an active part in the program to raise educational standards in related areas. The CEO of the top companies, including Time Warner Cable television, Sally Reed Science, Kodak, Intel, Xerox, Exxon Mobil, and other U.S.-wide industries, have announced that Blizzard is another high-profile name on the list. "Investment and cooperation with basic education has always been a priority for our company," said George Rose, head of public policy at Blizzard, in a statement that "basic education is an area in which our country needs to continue to maintain its leading economic position, and that every successful enterprise and citizen should assume a state obligation." Our cooperation will not only benefit students, but also promote economic recovery, enhance the competitiveness of the country and ultimately benefit our people. "Blizzard plans to promote basic research in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics through video games, but does not disclose details of implementation," he said. Last week, U.S. President Barack Obama also launched a "video game Challenge" national program designed to promote and support students to develop original games and learn about science, technology, engineering, and math. The plan is also part of the "Formula Change" education program, which is different from the "video game Challenge", which specifically requires participants to help young students or develop games for schoolchildren.
