Boeing 787 to be equipped with Android platform entertainment System

We all know that in addition to mobile phones and tablets, the Android system can also be applied to many other devices. It's always nice to have new partners joining the Android family. This is the case with Boeing, which recently unveiled the Android entertainment system on Boeing's 787 Dreamliner. Boeing says it will offer two entertainment systems--panasonic EX3 and Thales Topseries Avant on the Boeing 787, all using the Android platform. One of the Thales Systems was exhibited during the Farnborough International Airshow. Topseries avant using 10-inch or 17-inch display specifications, built-in hardware configuration is excellent, including dual-core ARM processor, 1GB memory, 256GB built-in storage space, is the main multimedia playback equipment. Because of the depth of customization of the system interface, it is hard to see a specific version of Android, but it should be Android 2.3 or 3.0. Boeing 787, which has the entertainment system, will also provide air WiFi services. Touch passenger Media Unit (TOUCHPMU) is a 3.8-inch handheld device that can do almost any Android phone. But as of now, only 14 of the 859 orders have been completed, so passengers may have to wait a while for Boeing's new entertainment system based on the Android platform. This is a good trend, and it's a powerful proof of the versatility of Android.
