Brazilian network security company launches first homemade encryption smartphone, starting sales in July

Sikur, a Brazilian network security company, has recently promoted the "granite" of Brazil's first domestically-made encrypted smartphone. The product will be marketed to businesses and the public sector in July this year, and is being ordered by ordinary consumers by 2016.

According to Brazilian media February 24, Sikur has been developing an encryption system for Apple's iOS system, Google's Android system and tablet computer since last year. Now the company has developed two different models of "granite" mobile phones, including the new mobile phone will be in early March this year at the World Mobile Communications Conference held in Barcelona, Spain, officially announced. According to Sikur company, this fully adopted Brazil's own patented technology of the mobile phone is expected to sell 800 U.S. dollars.

The mobile phone, based on an Android operating system, uses a 2048-bit "key" RSA encryption algorithm, and is widely considered one of the hardest to crack. Its encryption function only when two "granite" mobile phone communication will be effective.

Sikur was established in Brazil in 2009 and its headquarters relocated to Miami, USA, in January, with offices in the UAE, Mexico, Colombia and Chile. The company's target turnover this year is $24 million trillion, of which 60% is expected to be overseas.
