Brief introduction to 10 Big tablet computers

Juniper, a UK market research firm, said yesterday that it summarized the top ten tablet computers and products available on the market, based on existing news and rumours.

Here is a brief description:

1. Apple

As the first tablet to be marketed, the ipad has been a huge success in both the computer and mobile industries. This product expands the content strategy with the help of the App Store and the itunes distribution model.

Release/Shipping Time: 2010 spring/Summer, different regions.

The ipad's shipments are expected to reach 1 million units in the first few months of the month. As the undisputed market leader, the ipad has sparked other rivals to emulate and is expected to maintain a large market share.

2, Dell

Dell Streak is a hybrid of Tablet PCs and smartphones that users can buy from carriers and retailers. Streak has the phone function that the ipad lacks.

Release/Shipment time: July 2010

Function: Provide HDMI and USB interface via base

3, HP

HP initially planned to use the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system and is now ready to switch to Palm WebOS, but details are unknown. The entry-level version of Slate Tablet PC is priced at 550 to 560 dollars.

Release/Shipping Time: expected in the second half of 2010

Features: It is rumored to be equipped with a 8.9-inch screen, with a resolution of 1024x600,1.6ghz (Atom) Z530 processor, Uma graphics, 32GB Flash, 1GB memory, battery endurance of 5 hours, and a SIM card slot. But after the acquisition of Palm, HP may make some adjustments to the function.

4. Asus

ASUS launched the Eee Pad tablet computer at the Taipei International Computer Show (Computex) in 2010. The company, which cooperated with Microsoft in 2002, has not been successful in its tablet computing sector. ASUS is also planning to launch an App store.

6. Cisco

Cisco's Cius tablet, which uses Google's Android operating system, is positioned as a business offering to access cloud computing applications and videoconferencing via VPN (virtual private network) and virtual desktops.

Features: Wi-Fi, 3g/4g/Bluetooth, HD video, secure remote connection, Cisco collaborative applications (including Cisco Quad, Show and share), WebEX, instant messaging, USB interface.

7, MSI

MSI plans to launch two tablet PCs called WindPad and will use Windows 7 and the Android operating system. Windows 7 is priced at around $500, and the Android version is 20% cheaper.

Features: 10-inch screen, 2GB RAM, 1.6GHz-move processor, built-in 3G and Wi-Fi modules.

8, Yukyung

Yukyung will launch Android and Microsoft tablets with the Viliv brand, named S5 and S7 respectively.

Publish/ship: Initially only in Korea local sales

Features: Initially equipped with 10-inch touch screen, ARM architecture processor, USB interface, SD card reader, Wi-Fi and 3G modules. 200 hours standby, starting from sleep mode is only 3-4 seconds.

9, Google

There are rumors that Google will work with HTC and Verizon to launch a tablet computer in the year.

10. LG and Motorola

LG and Motorola will launch their tablets this year, but details are unknown.
