Scientists at the University of Surrey have recently developed the latest and fastest 5G technology that can transmit up to 1 trillion bytes (1TB) of data per second, or 125GB. 30 movies can be downloaded in just 1 seconds, 65,000 times times faster than the current 4G technology. It is reported that 5G technology, in addition to the fast downloading of movies, can also allow real-time holographic games between smartphone users, but also reduce financial transaction time errors.
Unlike augmented Reality (AR), virtual Reality (VR), and other technologies, holographic technology can actually allow users to see lifelike virtual images without any device, or even manipulate them, such as the HoloLens helmet that Microsoft made public at the WIN10 preview release. After wearing the HoloLens, the daughter can project the father's picture on the wall, while the father through the flat drawing instructions to know how the daughter to change the water pipe. These virtual indicator icons will also be vividly mapped in front of you. The team plans to test in parts of the country in 2018. The British Communications Authority is expected to launch the 5G network in 2020.
