It only supports the web browsing, does not include the mail to send and receive, the webpage writes and so on function, the webpage displays uses own Gecko typesetting engine. In terms of programming, Camino used the cocoa environment to replace Mozilla's own XUL.
At present, the Camino plan is supervised by Mike Pinkerton. Camino Projects and Firefox are almost "the same age", using the Gecko rendering engine. The main difference is that the user interface is based on cocoa rather than xul to make it more suitable for Mac operating systems.
Similar to the Firefox 3.6,camino 2.1 Mozilla based Gecko network rendering engine platform 1.9.2, it includes enhanced support for network standards and improved JavaScript performance. Other major upgrades include a new history background, new hidden status bar options, and a big trimming of the Address Bar AutoComplete feature, which can now be searched for bookmarks and history. Other changes include new "offline work" and "online" menu items after entering offline mode, localized upgrades, and improvements to various user interfaces.
