At home and abroad, the voice of cloud computing is on the up and down, but the main provider of cloud computing services is still dominated by large internet companies.

Overseas, the internet giant such as Amazon, Gu ge, already have mature cloud product to market. Domestic, Shanda, Sina, Ali and other Internet enterprises, have launched their own cloud computing services.

Compared with these emerging internet companies, telecom operators rely on the advantages of network and data center, the potential for cloud computing is more obvious. Especially as data centers become increasingly popular and mature, telecom operators can easily load new services such as cloud computing through data centers. And for their own development needs, operators need to use the cloud computing service model to improve the ability to provide differentiated services for enterprise customers, as well as customer-oriented market segmentation capabilities. Including BT, Germany Telecom, at&t and other European and American telecom operators in this regard is already a pioneer. Through its global network, AT&T offers a wide range of cloud computing services for automobiles, insurance, banking, healthcare, media, retail and utilities. In addition, many telecom operators also actively through the acquisition, set up their own around the global more than 10 or even hundreds of data centers, through these data centers, for all types of customers to provide public cloud, private cloud, or even mixed cloud services.

According to the latest cloud computing white paper published by the Ministry of Industry and Information technology, the three largest operators are also entering the cloud market. China Telecom in August 2011 released the Sky Wing cloud computing strategy, brand and solutions, 2012 will provide cloud host, cloud storage and other IaaS services, the future will also provide a cloud of e-commerce navigation, such as SaaS Services and open PAAs service platform. China Mobile since 2007 began to build big Cloud platform, November 2011 released the Big Cloud 1.5 version, mobile mm and other services will be migrated to the big cloud platform in the future. China Unicom has developed its own "Vaux Yun" of cloud computing services for individuals, businesses and government users. At present, "Vaux Yun" business mainly focuses on storage services, realizes the collaborative function of user information and files on multiple devices, and the centralized storage and safe keeping of files and data.
