The CDMA version of the iphone seems to be no longer rumored, the product has been almost confirmed to exist, its internal test code N92, has been in the Engineer Verification test (EVT) phase.
While the CDMA iphone is not universally applicable without the GSM/HSPA version, Apple can use it to allow smaller operators to quickly grab the market, including China Telecom and some Latin American operators, and the new CDMA iphone is already considering a transition to LTE.
Some technical experts say the market for CDMA iphones is promising, and they believe it would be wise to promote CDMA iphones in cities such as New York and San Francisco, where the GSM network is poorly covered, with some thinking that they can sell at least 1 million of the sales as soon as they are open.
It is now expected that the C-net iphone will begin a new journey as early as next January to US operator Verizon.
